Overcoming cancer treatment side effects is our mission
Inspired by a family member that lost a fifteen year battle to cancer, leading dermatologist Dr. Richey started Brighter Days with mission to enhance lives by optimizing the health of the skin, hair and nails during chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
Even with advances in cancer treatments, the negative side effects have largely been overlooked, and they keep deeply affecting the patients’ quality of life. We support chemotherapy and radiation patients by providing resources to reduce the treatments’ effects on the skin, hair, and nails.
Dr. Hodari joined this battle and now the national program provides participants with valuable knowledge, individual consultations, and a healing support system. We also partner with socially engaged beauty companies, such as Rejuvené, to provide useful products to help speeding the recovery.
Brighter Days and Love your Skin - a winning allegiance
To expand the positive impacts of our help and expertise, Brighter Days is now part of an even bigger organization to empower the world through knowledge, appreciation, and love of their own skin.
Besides helping cancer patients overcome the side-effects of their treatments, we empower children and improve their self-esteem through education about skincare, etiquette, and professional dress, read more about it clicking here!
Brighter Days is a program of love, compassion, hope, caring, warmth, support, sharing.
“I didn’t realize that there would be so much support in that room. It was wonderful to be with a group of other women and men that needed that support.”
“Brighter Days is a wonderful program that Dr. Richey has worked on for many years developing to help make this journey in your life a little bit more comfortable.”
“There are brighter days ahead. You just need the tools to get there.”
